The conditions and method of obtaining insight into museum materials and documentation are determined by the provisions of the Law on Museums (Official Gazette 61/18) and the Rulebook on the content and manner of keeping documentation on museum materials and museum activities and the method of obtaining information on museum materials and documentation (Official Gazette 21/2023).

Museum materials and documentation are made available for inspection for the purpose of scientific and professional processing, exhibition, publication, for journalistic purposes, and for teaching purposes and other justified purposes.

Insight into museum materials and documentation includes: reviewing materials and documentation, making copies and photocopies of originals for the purpose of further professional and scientific processing, publication and exhibition.

Access to museum materials and documentation for the purpose of using them for commercial purposes is regulated by a special contract between the museum and the interested party, in accordance with the museum's general acts and special regulations.
