Cultural History Collection

The Cultural History Collection contains a diverse range of objects, among which clay pipes and horseshoes stand out due to their number and perfectly preserved condition. The clay tobacco pipes were found following archaeological fieldwork at the Old Town fortress in Sinj, and the pipes of Austro-Hungarian, Ottoman, English and Zelovo provenance are represented. All the examples belong to the period from the mid 17th to late 19th centuries. Other valuable artefacts include the Second World War-related material (vessels, medical instruments, typewriter, watch), a tricycle dating from the 2nd half of the 19th century, flags and other various artefacts..
